NEWS (20/02/10)

Dear Supporters,

20th February we had our tournament.  
 
One of the regular supporters of my tournament and team mate from Ealing Chess Club Alan Perkins performed very strong as usual and won the Open section with 4.5. Second place secured by Richard Cannon with 4 points.
Grading prize U180 won by Martin Baker.

U165 section won by long time supporter Russell Goodfellow with 100% score 5 out of 5. Baxter Harry was runner up with 3.5.  
Grading prize U140 won by Joshua Cavendish with 2.5.

U130 section’s First place was shared by Obihara Jason from Ealing Chess Club and Ahmed Riaz both scored 4 points. 9 years old, ungraded Akshaya Kalai played promissing chess by beating  in round one 112 graded D.Everritt and in round two she beat winner of the section 125 graded O.Jason.
Grading prize U100 won by Angarig Sainbayar with 3.

Special prizes: best senior player was David Everitt, who scored 2.5.
Best Junior prize was shared between Amy Hoare (Open) and Akshaya Kalai. (U130) Both scored 3 points, played very competitive chess.

NEWS (20/01/10)

On Saturday the 20th January we had our first Ealing Rapidplay tournament for the year of 2010.

The open section was won by Jovica Radovanovic , who scored 4.5 out of 5. Second place was shared between local boys from Ealing Chess Club and regular active supporters Alan Perkins and Tserenbat Lozvoi, both with 3.5 points.

We launched a new U165 section in our tournament, with first place going to Hristo Colov with  4.5 points. The runner-up was John Torrance with 4.

The U130 section was won by the new comer Nitin Barhanpurkar, who scored 4.5. Tony Bynnersley AG, one of our active supporters, scored 4 points out of 5 and secured 2nd place.

Grading prize winners were:

U180 - shared by Iain Bourne and Ronnie Cohen

U140 - Victor Bluett

U100 - Robert Burns
